Open the Settings panel (gear icon, top right), then tap Add Profile. You can record a new sample with your microphone or upload an existing audio file — even a voicemail or old video recording works.
After uploading a sample, Echo processes your quick phrases in the background. This typically takes 1–3 minutes. You'll see a waveform animation on phrases that are still generating.
Echo requires an internet connection for voice synthesis. Both Echo Air and Echo Studio send audio requests to our servers, so a connection is needed each time you speak.
Open the iOS Settings app → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Echo. You can cancel or manage your subscription there. Alternatively, tap Manage Subscription inside the Echo app under Settings.
Try re-recording with a cleaner audio source — a quiet room, close to the microphone, reading clearly. Longer samples (30–60 seconds) tend to produce better results. You can also try the audio enhancement option after uploading.
Your phrases sync to your account automatically. Sign back in with the same email and your phrases will restore. Make sure to use the same sign-in method (email/password, Google, or Apple).
